Biography
The David Jonathan Ross (rossimus davidicæ) is a fascinating creature. A 22-year-old male of his species, his native habitat is near Los Angeles, California. However, he ends up spending little of his time there, as he has a peculiar migratory pattern. While most animals travel thousands of miles to moderate climates during the winter, the David goes in the opposite direction, subjecting himself to the harsh, snow-covered climate of Massachusetts.
He has a simple and limited diet, consisting mostly of trail mix, frozen pasta, quesadillas, rice and beans, and leftover surprise, a multi-ethnic plate of various week-old food that is thrown in a microwave device. The actual nutritonal value of its diet is questionable.
He has a genetic family unit, consisting of paternal and maternal units, Bruce and Randy, and two brothers, Brian (the athletic, yet Shakespeare-quoting one), and Eric (the anime obsessed one).
During the fall, winter, and spring, the David attends an academy known as Hampshire College, located in Amherst, Massachusetts. There, he engages in what is known as an "alternative education", which can be described by hyphenates such as artsy-farsty and touchy-feely. Although he hopes to utilize this education in the social and professional spheres of his species' society, he is skeptical as to how far a degree from a college without tests or grades will get him.
The animal's choice to pursue such an odd education stems from an academy of learning he attended earlier known as Palos Verdes Peninsula High. At this "school", a ruling class of his species (known as teachers) force the helpless animal to do random laborious tasks. The execution of these tasks, a process called "learning", is supposed to prepare the young animal for adult life, but a study conducted by specialists has proven that most of these tasks are never repeated once the species reaches adulthood.
Outside of this "school", the animal uses his primitive brain to exercise his creative abilities and his peculiar sense of humor. He seems to enjoy drawing, design, and building websites. Computers have opened up a whole new world to the creature, allowing him to create digital art, database driven websites, as well as digital animation. A narcissistic being by nature, the David prominently places himself as the focus of many of his works.
